Information on our various squads and how they are structured can be found here.
Tadpoles
These are our lesson based groups ranging from non-swimmers to those who are capable of swimming one length with
a reasonable understanding of the basic strokes. Tadpole lessons are 1/2 hour in duration and are held Monday
to Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Frogs
These lessons are for swimmers to improve on stroke technique, as well as increasing stamina by
adjusting to swimming lengths. If swimmers wish they can progress from here into the initial stage of squad training.
Frog lessons are 1/2 hour in duration and held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
Dolphins
This is the initial stage of the squad groups. Sessions are 40 minutes in duration and held 3
times a week.
Sharks
Shark sessions are approximately 1 hour in duration and held 5 times a week.
Junior sessions are between 1 and 1 1/2 hours in duration and are held
up to 7 times a week.
Seniors 1,2 & 3
Senior session are between 1 and 2 hours in duration and are held 8 times a week.
All of the above squad groups concentrate on improving stroke technique as well as bulding up stamina in preparation
to compete in galas/open meets if a swimmer wishes to do so.
Masters
Cheshunt Swimming Club have an active masters section. This is split between those who want to swim to keep fit and those
that want to compete at a competitive level.
Several of our swimmers compete at various masters meets throughout the country. We welcome any ability of swimmer as this
is also a very social club.
