Cheshunt Swimming Club
Cheshunt Swimming Club originated in the early 1900s. However, it, ceased to operate between the first and second World Wars. The club was reformed in 1967 and has grown to its current size. Cheshunt Swimming Club has developed into one of the most established clubs in Hertfordshire and its swimmers compete in all levels of competition from Club to National. The main focus of our club is for each individual swimmer toBe The Best They Can whilst encouraging enjoyment at the same time.
Cheshunt Swimming Club’s members range from young children in our swim school all the way to our swim squad where we have swimmers Competing at club and up to national level. Every year we compete in four swimming leagues ranging from County to National level. We also encourage our swimmers to enter and participate in Open Meets, where swimmers get the chance to compete individually and get further opportunities to improve their personal best times.
Cheshunt Swimming Club hosts annual inter-club swimming events, such as our Club Championships, Long Distance Championships, and Sprint Championships. These occasions give swimmers of all abilities the chance to gain valuable competing experience for their future in the sport, whilst influencing swimmers to compete within a friendly and driven atmosphere.
Our Swim England qualified coaches and teachers strive to be the best they can and always ensure that they encourage and instruct to the best of their ability. The coaching staff try to assist in other aspects of fitness which include land training exercises and nutrition. With a good communication setup and the knowledge within our staff, we have an excellent team who can help our swimmers aim to achieve the best they can.
