Olivia will be competing in no less than 6 events this year. The 100m,200m & 400m Freestyle, 100m,200m Backstroke as well as the 200m Individual Medley. Last year she made 3 finals coming 5th in the 100m Backstroke & 200m Backstroke as well as 7th in the 100m Butterfly. This year she too will be hoping to contest more finals.

00m Breaststroke This year she is again hoping to contest the finals.Regional Qualifiers 2014

Holly Atkins has been one of the real success stories this year. Before this year’s County Championships she only had a couple of County qualifying times. She now goes to her first Regional Championships having qualified in both the 100m & 200m Breaststroke. Her times also put her in competition for a place in both finals being seeded 6th for the 100m Breaststroke & 7th for the 200m.

Megan Pope, swimming in the U13, has continued to show that she is a strong Freestyle swimmer by again making the 100m event. Continued hard training will see her increase her number of events next year as she has a lot more to offer in the other strokes. Emily Lush has again made the Regional times. In the past her strength has been in her Backstroke and whilst this is still improving her Freestyle has made even bigger leaps forward with her qualifying with an impressive 100m Freestyle time. Emily is another one to watch over the coming year as she has been working on her technique and her other strokes will, I am sure, start to improve.

Head Coach Paul Wollaston said “The commitment and dedication shown by the swimmers at Cheshunt Swimming Club has really been exceptional this year. This shows with the increase in our County and Regional entries. I wish them all the best of luck.”
