Squad Information

Tadpoles

These are our lesson based groups ranging from non-swimmers to those who are capable of swimming one length with a reasonable understanding of the basic strokes. Tadpole lessons are 1/2 hour in duration and are held Friday, Saturday and Sunday .

Fees: £6:50 per lesson plus £20 Swim England Insurance & Annual Club Membership

Frogs

These lessons are for swimmers to improve on stroke technique, as well as increasing stamina by adjusting to swimming lengths.  If swimmers wish they can progress from here into the initial stage of squad training.  Frogs lessons are 1/2 hour in duration and held on Monday, Friday and Sunday.

Fees: £6:50 per lesson plus £20 Swim England Insurance & Annual Club Membership Fee

Dolphins

This is the initial stage of the squad groups. Sessions are 40 to 45 minutes in duration and held 3 times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. They will also have their first taste of competition as well as being encouraged to enter the relevant Club Championships.

Fees: £100 per term plus £70 Annual Club Membership Fee

Sharks

Shark sessions are between 45mins and 1 hour in duration and held on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday evenings every week. The main focus is on continued stroke improvement as well as building up swimmers stamina. When swimmers are ready they will be invited to represent the club in local galas or encouraged to enter open meets and Club Championships as part of their development.

Fees: £120 per term plus £70 Annual Club Membership Fee

Juniors

Junior sessions are between 1 and 1 hour & 30 mins in duration and are held 5 evenings a week,. We focus on the swimmers in this squad to improve their times with the aim of working towards, and achieving County qualifying times. Swimmers in this squad are encouraged to do a minimum of 3 sessions a week. They are also expected to enter club championships as well as compete in inter club galas and appropriate open meets.

Pool time available: 7hrs

Fees: £140 per term plus £70 Annual Club Membership Fee

Intermediates

Intermediate sessions are between 1 and 2 hours in duration and have been put in place to help swimmers in the transition from the junior squad to the seniors. Swimmers will be encouraged to attend at least 4 sessions a week to get the best from the squad. Swimmers in this squad will be expected to enter club championships as well as compete in inter-club galas and appropriate open meets.

Pool time available: 15hrs & 30mins

Fees: £165 per term plus £70 Annual Club Membership Fee

Seniors

Our senior squad is our main competitive squad in which we have 9 sessions available per week, mornings and evenings. All swimmers in this squad must be focused on achieving their Hertfordshire County qualifying times and where possible their Regional and National times. Swimmers in this squad will be expected to attend a high percentage of these sessions as well as enter club championships, compete in inter-club galas and appropriate open meets.

Pool time available: 16hrs

Fees: £165 per term plus £70 Annual Club Membership Fee

Masters

Cheshunt Swimming Club have an active masters section. This is split between those who want to swim to keep fit and those that want to compete at a competitive level. Several of our swimmers compete at various masters meets throughout the country. We welcome any ability of swimmer as this is also a very social club.

Pool time available: 3hrs

Fees: £85 per term plus £30 Annual Club Membership Fee

Club Championships

Cheshunt Swimming Club holds club galas throughout the year. We encourage all our swimmers to enter these, as they provide competitive experience in a friendly environment. They are an excellent opportunity to prepare yourself for future events if you haven’t competed before. We hold them three times a year. The first is in February. This is the Club 200 & Dash gala. Events are either 200m or 50m. The second is in July. This is the Club Sprints. Events are either 25m or 50m. Lastly we have the Club Championships around November time. Events for this gala are 100m & 50M. Awards for these galas are given out at presentation evenings/discos throughout the year.
