Saturday saw the 1st round of the Herts Major League which was held at The Venue in Borehamwood. Cheshunt SC was up against 5 other Hertfordshire Clubs and were keen to get off to a good start in the 1st of 3 rounds.
Cheshunt got off to an excellent start by winning the first 5 races. The swimmers put in excellent performances for the rest of the gala with Cheshunt romping home with an excellent victory.
We had 19 – 1st Places, 11 – 2nd places and 7 – 3rd Places which is excellent.
Paul Wollaston Head Coach said “I was really happy with the team’s performance. It’s their 1st competitive event for a month and the individual performances are a great boost for the swimmers, many of whom will be competing in the County Championships at the end of the month.”
The team are looking forward to the next round which is on the 5th March.
