Cheshunt swimming club provided Hertfordshire with 3 swimmers for the annual National Intercounties competition held at the Ponds Forge Pool. Daniel Lush, Zane Batt & Chloe Berko-Boateng all travelled to St Albans first for a training session before boarding the team coach for the trip to Sheffield.

The competition involves swimmers from all counties across England as well as teams from Wales.  Daniel was first up in the 16/17yrs 100m freestyle.  Daniel went out well turning in 26.01.  He then powered down the 2nd 50m to record an excellent PB of 54.64 the first time he has gone under the 55 second mark.  Zane was next in the water for the 12/13yrs 100m backstroke.  Again Zane set off well turning at 33.25 at the half way mark.  A strong 2nd 50m saw him smash his PB with a 1:07.86.  Both boys as well as Chloe were involved in the medley relays with all 3 swimming close to their PBs.  A big congratulation goes to all 3 swimmers on their performances and Zane came away not only with a PB but also the award for swimmers of the meet amongst the Hertfordshire team.
